[intrepid-notify] Monday Maintenance reminder for April 28, 2008

The Intrepid system will have an extended Monday maintenance period this
coming week.

Maintenance starts:  7:00 a.m. US CDT on Monday, April 28, 2008
Expected end:  8:00 a.m. US CDT on Tuesday, April 29, 2008

During this time:

- no jobs will be run on the system
- there may be disruptions in filesystem access
- there may be disruptions in network access to the login nodes.

During this window, changes will be made to the user environment:

- Clusterbank upgrade (postponed from last week)
- Java upgrade
- Network maintenance

System maintenance is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
Following the system maintenance period, there will be a testing period
for a beta release which includes large-scale performance, gdb, and
other fixes.

Mail will be sent when the work has been completed and the machines are
again available for general use.  Please send any comments or questions
