***The Blue Gene/Q is Coming***
On Tuesday, IBM formally announced what ALCF users have known for some time---the Blue Gene/Q is coming to the ALCF in 2012. ***VASP on Intrepid***
VASP 5.2, a package for performing ab-initio quantum-mechanical molecular dynamics (MD) using pseudopotentials and a plane wave basis set, is available for use on Intrepid for VASP 5.2 license holders. For information on obtaining VASP, and using VASP on Intrepid, please go to https://wiki.alcf.anl.gov/index.php/VASP.

If you have requested an account but have not received confirmation that it was created, please contact accounts at alcf.anl.gov. Your request may have been pended awaiting approval from your PI, or pended awaiting ALCF receipt of requested documentation (i.e., signed Acknowledgement form, 593 documentation).  

*** /home filesystems near capacity ***
The /home filesystems on Surveyor and Intrepid are near capacity. Please delete data you no longer need, and/or move data you don't need immediate access to out of /home. For help transferring or archiving data, please contact support at alcf.anl.gov.

***eFixes Improve MPI Performance and Stability***
