*** To the 2012 Winter Workshop Attendees: Thank You! ***
We at the ALCF wish to express our sincere gratitude to the users (INCITE, discretionary, ESP and others) who attended the 2012 Winter Workshop this week at Argonne. Your participation afforded us the opportunity to get to know you, your science, and your resource needs. We were delighted to hear many of you comment about the significant progress you were able to make as a result of having one-on-one time with ALCF catalysts and performance engineers, and we look forward to building on this momentum with you in the weeks and months to come. Thank you for making this workshop a huge success. Please watch for information in the coming weeks about our next workshop, scheduled to occur in the May/June timeframe.

*** 2012 ALCC Call for Proposals is Open ***
The ASCR Leadership Computing Challenge (ALCC) allocates up to 30 percent of the computational resources at the DOE Leadership Computing Facilities. Accepted projects are directly related to the DOE's energy mission, national emergency, or for broadening the community of researchers capable of using leadership computing resources. Awards are based on a peer review for scientific merit and computational readiness. Proposals are due by February 14, 2012. For information, visit: http://www.alcf.anl.gov/news/detail.php?id=605
