*** IBM XL Compilers Updated ***

The January 2013 update of the IBM XL compilers (XL C/C++ 9.0.0.16 and 
XL Fortran 11.1.0.16) has been installed on Intrepid, Challenger, and 
Surveyor. They are available with the @ibm-compilers-jan2013 keyword and 
will be made default in the next maintenance period. The default XL 
compiler version remains the August 2012 version at this time.

*** Efixes 53 and 54 installed on Surveyor ***

eFix 53 fixed an issue with CIOS where, in conjunction with the option 
CIOD_INCLUDE_CACHED_MEMORY=1, a per-job file descriptor was never being 
closed. eFix 54 fixed a buffer overflow that crashed the control system 
when a user in more than 32 groups ran a job. The fix changes the 
control system to only take into consideration the first 32 groups a
