*** Default IBM XL Compilers Updated ***
On March 25th, the default IBM XL compiler version on Intrepid/Challenger was updated to the January 2013 update (XL C/C++ 9.0.0.16 and XL Fortran 11.1.0.16). Please report any problems to support at alcf.anl.gov. To select a prior compiler version, please see the FAQ in compiling and linking:

*** Off-cycle System Maintenance Monday ***
The Intrepid, Challenger, and Eureka systems will have a single, off-cycle preventive maintenance period this coming week. Maintenance starts at 14:00 UTC on Monday, April 1, and is expected to end at 00:30 UTC on Tuesday, April 2. During this time, there will be no access to the login nodes and no jobs will be run on the system. We will notify users when the work has been completed and the machines are again available for general use. The regular, two-week maintenance schedule will resume on Monday, April 8. Please send any comments or questions to support at alcf.anl.gov. 

*** Request Reservations for SC Paper Deadline ***
The deadline for SC papers is April 12 (abstracts are due April 5). Please submit your reservations requests by April 1 to support at alcf.anl.gov to ensure your runs are scheduled.
