*** Permit Other Users to Manipulate Your Job ***
Use the qsub and qalter flag --run_users allow users you specify to manipulate your job via qhold, qrls, qdel, etc. For more information, see https://wiki.alcf.anl.gov/index.php/Queuing#Running_With_a_Group_of_Users.

*** DOE CSGF Accepting Fellowship Applications ***
The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) program is now accepting fellowship applications. Doctoral students can earn up to four years of financial support plus take part in unique career development opportunities while they pursue a degree in a field of study that utilizes high-performance computing technology to solve complex problems in science and engineering. *** Maintenance Monday: November 14 ***
Routine maintenance kicks off at 9 a.m. CST (15:00 UTC) on Monday, November 14, for Intrepid, Eureka, Surveyor and Gazooks. The systems will be unavailable during maintenance (no access to login nodes, no jobs will be run on the systems). Please watch the "notify" lists for projected and actual release times.

*** ALCF Website Relaunch Next Week Brings Improvements ***
On Monday, November 14, the ALCF will roll out its much-anticipated, new and improved website. The site will include a variety of new user-focused features, including a live machine status, organized user manuals, user announcements, a better search function, and more. As part of the revamp initiative, content from the ALCF wiki will be moved to the new website. While bookmarks to specific content on the old site or wiki will no longer work, enhanced search capabilities and a cleaner architecture on the new site will make information easier to locate when you need it. *** Users Invited to Blue Gene Consortium Meeting at SC11 ***
With the imminent official release of IBM's Blue Gene/Q, we invite all users to a special meeting of the Blue Gene Consortium at SC11. IBM, in conjunction with Argonne and the University of Chicago, is hosting this meeting as a venue for discussions about the impact of Blue Gene/Q on some of HPC's most critical questions.The meeting will be held Tuesday, from 2:30-5 p.m., at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel.
