We've made a sizeable amount of changes in the test/ directory. Mostly new
testlist files for the subdirectories and a nearly rewrite of runtests.in.
I'm don't think you'll want to keep all of it as-is There are a lot of BG
specific things so we can run through that test bucket before checking in
code but there are some general features that might help on other
platforms. You might want to change it to runtests.bg.in or something
similar. We can discusss that in a telecon though.

I went over these patches. It looks like the patches have a combination
of bug fixes, general improvements to the code, and the actual additions
to the code. It might be a better idea to deal with these separately.
I'll break the patches into a bunch of smaller patches and send them
out. We can review each of them separately and incorporate them.
Joe -- For some of the patches, we'll need input from you folks. We'd
like to keep those for the end, since that needs to be done on a
telecon. Also, is the test suite patch created against 1.0.7rc1? It
doesn't seem to apply cleanly.
Thanks.
