[intrepid-notify] Monday Maintenance reminder for August 4th, 2008

The Intrepid system will have its regularly scheduled Monday maintenance
period this coming week.

Maintenance starts:  9:00 a.m. US CDT on Monday, August 4th, 2008
Expected end:  5:00 p.m. US CDT on Monday, August 4th, 2008

During this time:

- no jobs will be run on the system
- there may be disruptions in filesystem access
- there may be disruptions in network access to the login nodes.

During this window, changes will be made to the user environment:

- GPFS work to address space issues on /gpfs1
- eFixes to address an issue with setting debugger breakpoints on one  
cpu and not encountering that breakpoint and some cpus failing to halt  
when all were requested to do so
- eFixes to improve system reliability
- DNS updates

Mail will be sent when the work has been completed and the machines are
again available for general use.  Please send any comments or questions
