*** Routine Maintenance Begins Monday ***
Intrepid, Challenger, and Eureka will have their regularly scheduled 
preventive maintenance period this coming week. For these systems, 
maintenance starts at 15:00 UTC on Monday, November 12, and is expected 
to end at 02:30 UTC on Tuesday, November 13. During this time, no jobs 
will be run on the systems, there may be disruptions in filesystem 
access and there will be no access to the login nodes. Vesta, Surveyor 
and Gadzooks will be available for normal use that day.

*** Visit ALCF Representatives at the IBM SC12 Booth ***
If you're heading to SC12 in November, ALCF representatives will be easy 
to find--they'll be in IBM's booth, #1018. Check out the Argonne SC12 
website (sc12.anl.gov) for the line-up of panels, workshops, tutorials 
and other events featuring ALCF and other Argonne experts.

*** Call for Participation: 2013 Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity 
in Computing ***
We are excited to announce the 2013 Tapia Celebration of Diversity 
Conference: Call for Participation.  Please share with your networks. 
Note that preference for schoarships will be given to students and 
mentors who present posters, panels, BoFs, or workshops.  Applications 
website is available as of Monday, Oct. 15 and the submission deadline
