*** UPDATE: Limited availability on Intrepid, Eureka, and Challenger ***
ALCF staff has enabled user logins and GridFTP access to Intrepid, 
Eureka, and Challenger. Users have access to their home directories – 
users can compile and retrieve data from that file system. However, 
/intrepid-fs0 is unavailable as we are still working on file system issues.

*** Vesta Maintenance ***
There will be maintenance on Vesta on Monday, December 3rd.

*** New Phone System Enhances User Support ***
To better serve our users, the ALCF help desk implemented an Automated 
Call Distribution (ACD) phone system on Monday, November 19. The new 
system will improve the team's ability to collect call data that will be 
used to enhance services to users.

With the new system, if the help desk staff is assisting other callers, 
incoming calls will be held in a one-minute queue before being answered 
or forwarded to voicemail. Also new with the system, after-hours calls 
will be routed directly to the help desk voicemail box and will be 
returned the next business day. The support number, both local and toll 
free, will remain the same: 1-630-252-3111 or 1-866-508-9181.
