ALCF Users,
As you are aware, queues and login nodes will be disabled on Intrepid,
Challenger, and Surveyor on December 31, 2013. March 31, 2014 is the
last day the file system will be available via the Eureka login nodes.
This web page provides the latest information on the decommissioning:
www.alcf.anl.gov/user-guides/bgp-decommissioning
To aid you in managing your data, we’ve created the following checklist:
1. Review your files and directory structure. For intrepid-fs0, ALCF has
created a special file to reveal your directory structure and usage
(/intrepid-fs0/users/<username>/.file-data).
2. Read documentation and watch the webinar on tape archiving, file
transferring, or deleting date on Intrepid
3. Decide: archive, transfer, or delete.
Review Your Directory Structure
—
For intrepid-fs0, ALCF is providing a BETA service where we provide you
a complete list of files owned by you on a monthly basis. This will
provide you information about the structure and size of your directory
trees on intrepid-fs0. For more information and example scripts on how
to parse this, please visit:
www.alcf.anl.gov/user-guides/file-data-file-and-how-use-it
Read Documentation and Watch the Webinar
—
All information about this decommissioning is located on this webpage:
www.alcf.anl.gov/user-guides/bgp-decommissioning
ALCF developed a 25-minute webinar about the decommissioning and how to
archive, transfer, or delete on Intrepid. Here's the recording:
